Employment practices and litigation are amongst the most active areas of law today, and definitely one of the most complex. We have tried one of the largest employment whistleblower cases in the state, resulting in a million dollar plus verdict with punitive damages.
We have also represented employers with respect to developing appropriate workplace policies regarding privacy, internet usage, cars, equipment, staff and resources. These policies are very important to protect companies from employees who might be trying to abuse the company’s resources to their advantage. We have also drafted and enforced through litigation non-compete and confidentiality agreements.
This is a very active area of the law right now, with much of the United State’s economic structure being based on information technology and other knowledge-based industries. Many of our clients are litigating in this area.
